James Kirby
Most feared robot in Australia, shredding opponents and arena for the last decade. Born in an era before tip speed limits, the latest iteration retains the original TP power 4060 motor capable of spinning up the 4.5kg weapon in just over 2 seconds. Angle grinder gears scream on spinup and it’s best fights have had people literally running away from the arena.
James Kirby
Current record of 27-1 across sportsman and open classes. Overpowered maytech 5065 drivetrain to support the lifter capable of a jumping suplex. Moves faster than you.
James Kirby
Meltybrain most remembered for turning its power link into plasma and blowing out all the cameras. 6374 drives on 12S, hits hard but the mild steel frame warped from impacts. Very robust control system that could handle losing a drive side and all manner of rotation speeds without losing tracking.
James Kirby
Second generation flywheel flipper built upon the drivetrain proven in Derive. Currently looks better than it works, with many technical issues to work out, but that comes with the territory. Intended for open class soon enough.
James Kirby
The greatest featherweight ever devised by man. Built at the event during safety check-in. Chassis made of two chopping boards hot glued and cable tied together with drill drives on castor wheels harder than diamond. Weapon is an impact driver with an allen key hot-glued in the output, cable tied to a HDPE stick, tipped with a nail. Won a fight.
